Sea, Sun and Sand
The golden sandy and palm filled beaches are not only famous for sun seeking travelers, the southern sea is rich with marine life and vegetation. Home to worlds largest blue whale colony which is just within sight of the shore, glowing coral reefs and turtles. The east coast beaches are yet to be fully discovered. The most known among the Eastern beaches is the Arugam Bay, the high church of surfing enthusiasts’ in the region.
Sri Lanka is filled with diverse collection of landscapes, climates and natural features.The central highlands is carpeted with lush green tea plantations interspersed with waterfalls. Cool climates, misty views, and colonial estate bungalows are a throwback to bygone eras.
With a history over 3000 years, Sri Lanka holds some of world’s ancient cities; Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa their once glorious townships, palaces, temples, monasteries, hospitals and theaters intricately carved and modeled out of stone lay and abandoned and forgotten with time amidst the soaring jungles.
Sigiriya, the fifth century AD rock fortress displays some of the most futuristic elements of landscaping and some of the oldest murals recorded in the country.
